Job Description

We are currently seeking a Logistics Supervisor to oversee daily logistics operations in our Johannesburg facility. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a solid background in supply chain management, and a commitment to efficiency. You will be responsible for managing the flow of goods from point of origin to delivery, ensuring that operations run smoothly and in compliance with industry regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the logistics team in executing supply chain strategies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including vendors, clients, and internal teams.
  • Conduct regular audits of logistics processes to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Oversee the scheduling and routing of shipments to optimize delivery timelines.
  • Prepare reports on logistics activities, including costs, performance indicators, and areas of concern.
  • Coordinate with the procurement team to maintain supply chain integrity.
  • Monitor freight costs and work towards reducing expenses while maintaining quality service.
  • Participate in strategic planning sessions to align logistics operations with company goals.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or relevant discipline
  • Master's degree preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of logistics experience with supervisory or managerial responsibilities
