Housekeeping Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee our housekeeping department in Durban. This role involves leading a team, ensuring cleanliness and orderliness in all areas, and maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily housekeeping operations and staff performance.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in cleaning practices.
• Address guest feedback and ensure satisfaction with room cleanliness.
• Coordinate deep cleaning schedules and special requests.
• Assist in budget management for housekeeping supplies.
• Foster a positive work environment to enhance team morale and productivity.
• Implement training sessions for new staff on housekeeping standards.
• Prepare reports on housekeeping operations and staff performance.
• Monitor and manage housekeeping equipment to ensure proper function.
• Lead by example and maintain a hands-on approach when necessary.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma
• Hospitality Management Diploma is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic
