Job Description

We are seeking a reliable Heavy and Tractor-Trailer Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves operating company vehicles to transport goods efficiently and safely from point A to point B while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Drive long distances to deliver goods to various locations throughout the country.
• Load and unload goods from the truck using appropriate equipment.
• Ensure that deliveries are made timely and efficiently while adhering to all safety protocols.
• Maintain detailed records of deliveries, vehicle mileage, and fuel usage.
• Conduct routine inspections on the truck to ensure proper functioning.
• Follow safety regulations during all driving and operations.
• Work closely with logistics coordinators to optimize delivery schedules.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate with further driving qualifications preferred

Experience

• At least 3 years of experience in long-haul driving

Technical Skills

• Forklift operation experience
• Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Problem-solving skills

Certifications

• Hazardous Materials Endorsement (if applicable)

Languages

• English: Fluent
