The Longwall Machine Operator Helper plays a crucial role in the underground coal mining operations, assisting the Longwall Machine Operator in setting up and monitoring equipment. Responsibilities

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 Certificate

Experience

• No prior experience is required as on-the-job training will be provided.

Technical Skills

• Ability to work efficiently in a physically demanding environment
• Basic knowledge of mining operations and equipment

Soft Skills

• Good communication skills
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Mine Safety Certificate (advantageous)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Prior experience in the mining industry: Experience working in a mining or industrial environment is a plus.
• Certification in mine safety and health: Knowledge of safety standards and practices in the mining sector.
• Experience operating heavy machinery: Hands-on experience with mining equipment can be beneficial.
