Tax Specialist

Job Description

Join our team as a Tax Specialist, where you'll work closely with clients to interpret tax regulations and assist in the preparation of tax documents. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in taxation and a passion for delivering excellent client service.

Responsibilities

• Review and simplify clients' financial operations to optimize tax outcomes.
• Provide training and support to junior tax staff.
• Draft tax position papers for complex structures and client scenarios.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on tax issues for clients.
• Monitor compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
• Advise on international tax matters, if applicable.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Honours degree in Taxation preferred

Experience

• 5 years of substantial experience in tax consultancy

Technical Skills

• Tax compliance strategy
• International tax knowledge

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving skills
• Interpersonal skills

Certifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA) is an advantage
• Certified Tax Advisor (CTA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Knowledge of tax software: Familiarity with notable tax software used in the industry.
• Advisory experience: Previous advisory roles in taxation or financial planning.
