Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Stone Planer to join our team. As a Stone Planer, you will be responsible for shaping and finishing stone surfaces to meet specifications and client requirements. The ideal candidate should have a strong attention to detail and experience in operating stone planing machinery.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate grinding and polishing machines for stone finishes.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards during operations.
• Monitor production and make adjustments to optimize machine performance.
• Work closely with quality control inspectors to rectify any discrepancies.
• Assist in training new operators on equipment and safety measures.
• Document work processes and report production metrics.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss production challenges and improvements.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma
• Vocational training in stone work is an advantage

Experience

• At least 3 years' relevant experience in stone processing

Technical Skills

• Technical Drawing Interpretation
• Quality Control

Soft Skills

• Problem-Solving
• Communication

Advantageous

• Knowledge of stone fabrication processes: Understanding the complete lifecycle of stone processing from extraction to finishing.
