Job Description

We are seeking an Environmental Engineer to join our Durban office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing and managing environmental projects aimed at sustainability. This role requires expertise in environmental regulations and engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Analyze environmental data and develop appropriate engineering solutions.
• Assist in the design of systems for waste management and air quality control.
• Engage with community stakeholders to promote awareness of environmental issues.
• Participate in fieldwork and site visits to gather necessary data.
• Support the development of training materials on environmental best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field
• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering discipline is acceptable

Experience

• 4+ years of industry experience in environmental projects

• Geospatial Analysis

Certifications

• ISO 14001 Internal Auditor Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in ecological restoration projects: Hands-on experience with ecological assessments and restoration efforts.
• Familiarity with carbon footprint assessments: Knowledge on assessing and mitigating carbon emissions.
