Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Underwriter to join our dynamic team in Pretoria. The successful candidate will play a key role in assessing risks and determining insurance coverage for clients. You will analyze various insurance applications, evaluate the risks involved, and provide recommendations based on your findings.

Responsibilities

• Perform risk assessments based on various factors including client history and industry standards.
• Collaborate with sales teams to tailor insurance products suitable for clients.
• Review and approve policy applications, ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines.
• Maintain client relationships and provide excellent customer service during the underwriting process.
• Provide training and support to junior staff in underwriting practices.
• Monitor policy performance and suggest improvements based on feedback.
• Participate in audits to assess underwriting practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, or related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in the insurance sector
