Job Description

As a Veterinarian at our Cape Town clinic, you will provide care for a diverse range of animals. Duties include conducting examinations, administering vaccinations, and developing treatment plans. The right candidate will demonstrate a commitment to animal welfare and possess strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients.

Responsibilities

• Examine pets for signs of disease or injury.
• Administer vaccinations and preventative treatments.
• Provide professional advice to pet owners regarding health issues.
• Supervise the work of veterinary technicians and assistant staff.
• Keep up with developments in veterinary medicine and technology.

Requirements

Education

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)

Experience

• 3+ years in a clinical or hospital setting

Technical Skills

• Anaesthetics
• Radiology

Certifications

• Membership in the South African Veterinary Association

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Specialization in animal surgery: Advanced training or certification in surgical procedures for animals.
