We are seeking a dedicated Public Health Officer to join our vibrant team in Johannesburg. In this role, you will focus on developing and implementing public health policies, conducting health assessments, and facilitating community health initiatives aimed at improving the wellbeing of our population. Responsibilities

  • Lead health promotion campaigns addressing prevalent local health concerns.
  • Work closely with the Public Health Director to develop strategic plans.
  • Engage with various stakeholders to facilitate health education and resources.
  • Track health trends in the community and propose actionable solutions.
  • Support the training and development of junior public health staff.
  • Contribute to grant writing and funding applications for health programs.
  • Assess community feedback to improve program delivery.
  • Develop networks with local organizations to support health initiatives.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Promotion, or related field
  • Master's degree in Public Health is an advantage
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years in public health initiatives or health education
