Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Machinery Mechanic to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in maintaining and repairing industrial machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.

Responsibilities

• Identify and procure replacement parts as necessary to facilitate repairs.
• Test repaired machinery to confirm proper operation before returning it to service.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance practices.
• Document and report on maintenance issues and trends to management.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate
• Trade qualification as a mechanic is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in repair of industrial machinery

Technical Skills

• Welding and fabrication
• Computer-aided design software

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Time management

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Additional training in hydraulics: Certification or experience in hydraulic system maintenance.
• Supervisory experience: Experience leading teams in maintenance operations.
