Toolroom Machinist

Job Description

As a Toolroom Machinist, you will be responsible for operating various machine tools to fabricate parts, tools, and fixtures for our manufacturing process. This role requires precise attention to detail and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate various machine tools as per specifications.
• Ensure adherence to engineering drawings and quality specifications.
• Fabricate high precision components and assemblies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and efficiency.
• Document production processes and changes accurately.
• Support quality assurance efforts through regular inspections.
• Assist in the development of manufacturing processes.
• Maintain accurate inventory records of materials and tools.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss production goals.

Requirements

Education

• Technical qualification in Engineering or related field

Experience

• Experience working with exotic materials is advantageous

• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing: Experience in a lean manufacturing environment.
