Job Description

As an Insurance Underwriter in Port Elizabeth, you will play a key role in evaluating client risks and crafting suitable insurance policies. We seek an individual with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to client service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Review and underwrite new applications for insurance coverage.
• Assess claims and decide on payout eligibility based on policy guidelines.
• Coordinate with risk management teams to improve underwriting processes.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and trends.
• Prepare reports to track underwriting performance and risks.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or Insurance
• Professional insurance designations (e.g., CII) are preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in underwriting or insurance claims management
