Accountant

Job Description

As an Accountant in our Johannesburg office, you will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing tax returns, and conducting audits. We are looking for candidates who are detail-oriented and have excellent analytical skills to navigate complex financial data.

Responsibilities

• Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Perform monthly closings and prepare financial analysis.
• Assist clients with financial audits and prepare necessary documentation.
• Develop financial models and forecasts.
• Track financial performance and variances from budgets.
• Advise on financial transactions and investments.
• Ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with legislation.
• Conduct research on regulatory changes that may affect compliance.
• Work with the finance team to improve processes and systems.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CA(SA) or equivalent certification preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years experience in accounting or finance roles.

Certifications

• CA(SA)
• CMA or equivalent certification is preferred

Languages

• English: Fluent
