Job Description

As a Correctional Officer, you will supervise and manage the daily operations of our correctional facility. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of both inmates and staff, enforcing rules and regulations while ensuring a rehabilitative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee inmate activities and ensure compliance with facility rules.
  • Respond to emergencies and incidents, maintaining calm and safety.
  • Develop and implement staff training programs.
  • Act as a liaison between management and inmates.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution among inmates and staff.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Participate in community outreach programs.
  • Assist in budget planning and resource allocation.
  • Conduct thorough searches for contraband and security threats.
  • Maintain professional relationships with law enforcement agencies.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or related field
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory position within corrections.
