UX/UI Designer

Job Description

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented UX/UI Designer to join our Johannesburg team. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing their design skills and a keen understanding of user-centered design principles. You will work closely with our product managers and developers to design intuitive interfaces that engage our users effectively.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze competitive design patterns.
• Design responsive layouts for varied devices and screen sizes.
• Create high-fidelity prototypes for stakeholder reviews.
• Work alongside UX researchers to translate findings into actionable design solutions.
• Maintain detailed project documentation and design archives.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create engaging promotional materials.
• Assist in developing training materials for design tools and methodologies.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure design integrity.
• Contribute to the overall strategy of the design department.
• Help promote a culture of design thinking within the organization.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Design or related field
• Postgraduate qualification is a plus

Experience

• 4+ years in UX/UI design, preferably in a tech environment

Certifications

• UX Certification from Nielsen Norman Group
• Google UX Design Certificate

Languages

• English: Fluent
