Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable Tax Consultant to join our Johannesburg team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing expert tax advice, preparing and reviewing tax returns, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. You will be instrumental in helping businesses optimise their tax strategy and manage their tax liabilities effectively.

Responsibilities

• Draft tax plans and compliance strategies for clients.
• Research and assess impact of potential tax reforms.
• Prepare tax documentation for submission to tax authorities.
• Conduct client meetings to discuss tax strategies and compliance.
• Identify opportunities for clients to reduce tax liabilities.
• Provide guidance on international tax issues for clients with global operations.
• Collaborate with legal teams on tax matters.
• Manage multiple client accounts and ensure timely service delivery.
• Review internal processes to improve tax compliance efficiency.
• Support clients in responding to tax-related inquiries and disputes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration
• Professional qualifications such as CA(SA) or CTA are advantageous

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in tax consultancy or related roles
