Environmental Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Engineer to join our team in Port Elizabeth. This role involves designing and implementing strategies to minimize environmental impact for various projects. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as a thorough understanding of environmental regulations and policies.

Responsibilities

• Investigate incidents of environmental non-compliance and propose remediation.
• Assess the environmental impact of construction projects and recommend mitigative measures.
• Engage stakeholders and clients to discuss environmental initiatives and objectives.
• Assist in the development of environmental management systems and policies.
• Perform site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to environmental standards.
• Coordinate with governmental organizations for project approvals and compliance.
• Stay updated with emerging climate change legislation and environmental technologies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or Engineering
• Postgraduate qualification preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in environmental consulting or engineering
