Job Description

As a Community Health Organizer, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing public health programs that drive community engagement and awareness. Your work will focus on promoting healthy behaviours, preventing disease, and addressing health disparities within the community.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate partnerships with health institutions to enhance service delivery.
  • Conduct workshops to train community members on health-related topics.
  • Develop strategies to address health disparities in underserved populations.
  • Assist in grant writing and funding proposals for health initiatives.
  • Utilize social media and community events to increase health literacy.
  • Collaborate on sustainability efforts for public health programs.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on health trends.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, or a related field
  • Master's degree in Public Health is preferred
Experience
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in community outreach or public health initiatives
