Aerospace Engineer

Job Description

Looking for a passionate Aerospace Engineer to join our Cape Town team. You will focus on the development and enhancement of aerospace systems, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve efficient and reliable performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and testing of aerospace systems, focusing on aerodynamics and structural performance.
• Ensure project adherence to budget and schedule constraints.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to implement engineering solutions.
• Monitor project progress and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Analyze data from tests and simulations to inform design decisions.
• Maintain knowledge of industry trends and advancements in aerospace technology.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Aeronautics, or a related field
• Master's degree in a relevant field is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of aerospace engineering experience or similar role

Technical Skills

• Matlab
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

Soft Skills

• Effective communication
• Project Management

Certifications

• Aerospace Management Certification
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with simulation tools such as CATIA: Proficiency in CATIA for 3D modeling and advanced simulations.
• Familiarity with aerospace regulatory frameworks: Knowledge of regulations governing the aerospace industry.
