Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Waste Management Consultant to join our Durban team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing waste management strategies that promote sustainability and meet local regulatory requirements. Your expertise will help guide clients in achieving their environmental goals while reducing waste and enhancing efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Identify waste management needs and provide tailored solutions for clients.
• Lead project teams in the implementation of waste reduction programs.
• Analyze data to improve waste management practices and ensure efficiency.
• Work with environmental compliance teams to manage risks and liabilities.
• Assist in developing and promoting community awareness campaigns on waste reduction.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with waste disposal vendors.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor waste management compliance.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior management and clients.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Waste Management, or related field
• Master's degree is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in waste management or environmental consulting
