Job Description

We seek a knowledgeable Tax Consultant to join our Johannesburg team. In this role, you'll assist clients with their tax planning, compliance, and strategy. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of South African tax laws and have experience working with individual and corporate clients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough tax research and analysis.
• Review tax documentation and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Monitor legislative changes and their implications on clients.
• Prepare tax projections and estimates.
• Assist in developing tax strategies to minimize liabilities.
• Draft reports summarizing tax compliance and strategic recommendations.
• Engage with clients to address their tax-related questions.
• Ensure timely filing of tax returns for all clients.
• Work closely with auditors during tax audits.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss tax strategies and updates.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields
• Postgraduate qualification in tax is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in taxation or audit roles

Certifications

• Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
• Registered Tax Practitioner (RTP)

Languages
