We are on the lookout for a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a passion for engineering and be able to contribute to various projects focused on design and manufacturing. Responsibilities

• Develop and analyze project designs using CAD tools.
• Work alongside project managers to ensure timely delivery of projects.
• Assist in troubleshooting and enhancing existing mechanical systems.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
• Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and gather feedback.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team.
• Conduct research on new technologies and materials.
• Train junior engineers and interns on best practices.
• Manage project budgets and resources effectively.
• Attend site inspections to ensure project compliance.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Professional Engineering registration preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience in a design and production environment

Technical Skills

• Mechanical Systems Analysis
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

Soft Skills

• Team Leadership
• Problem-solving

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with robotics and automation: Experience in integrating robotics in engineering projects.
