Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Textile Winding, Twisting, and Drawing Out Machine Setter to join our production team. The ideal candidate will operate and maintain machinery critical to the production of high-quality boards and textiles, ensuring efficiency and safety throughout the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

• Operate and oversee the winding process of various textiles efficiently.
• Perform regular checks to adhere to quality assurance standards.
• Maintain machinery and execute repairs when necessary.
• Document all production activities and machine conditions.
• Train others in safe operational practices.
• Contribute to team discussions to improve workflow processes.
• Engage in routine maintenance schedules as directed.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operation.

Requirements

Education

• Matric Certification or equivalent
• National Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering desirable

Experience

• 3 years of machine operation experience in manufacturing

Technical Skills

• Mechanical maintenance
• Technical schematics interpretation

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Communication

Certifications

• Trade Test Certificate as a Millwright or Turner
• Forklift Operator Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety regulations: Understanding and application of safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in a similar role within the textile or paper industry: Familiarity with processes and machinery in textile manufacturing.
