Fire Watcher

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Fire Watcher who is vigilant and observant to ensure the safety of our premises against fire hazards. The Fire Watcher will play a crucial role in inspecting designated areas, identifying potential risks, and implementing necessary precautions to prevent fire incidents.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine checks of fire alarms, extinguishers, and emergency equipment.
• Educate staff on fire safety protocols and emergency procedures.
• Collaborate with emergency services during fire drills and actual emergencies.
• Keep informed of relevant fire safety regulations and standards.
• Participate in continuous training and skills development related to fire safety.
• Maintain reports and records related to fire safety incidents and actions taken.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate in Fire Safety or related field is preferred

Experience

• Previous experience in health and safety, security, or similar roles is a plus.

Technical Skills

• Emergency response knowledge
• Equipment handling

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Fire safety certification
• First Aid and CPR certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Fire safety training: Completion of recognized fire safety training programs.
• Experience with emergency response systems: Familiarity with systems used for fire detection and alarm.
