Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Freight Forwarder to join our Durban team. In this role, you will manage logistics operations, coordinate shipments, and ensure timely deliveries. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail, ensuring compliance with regulations and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the transportation of goods and negotiate shipping terms.
• Develop and maintain relationships with freight carriers and partners.
• Ensure the accuracy of shipping invoices and resolve discrepancies.
• Conduct regular audits of shipping processes to ensure compliance.
• Prepare reports on shipping metrics and performance.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulations affecting logistics.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
• Diploma in Freight Forwarding is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in logistics or freight forwarding roles

Technical Skills

• Shipping Software
• Freight Auditing

Soft Skills

• Negotiation
• Attention to Detail

Certifications

• Certified International Freight Forwarder (CIFF)
• Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Basic
