Job Description

As an Upholstered Goods Crafter at Crafted Comforts Ltd., you will be responsible for creating and repairing exquisite upholstered furniture. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a passion for craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Innovate designs for new upholstered goods that align with modern trends.
• Ensure all repairs and refurbishments meet safety and quality standards.
• Create prototypes of new designs for client approval.
• Utilize advanced sewing techniques to enhance production outcomes.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss project timelines and challenges.
• Engage in continuous learning to stay updated on upholstery innovations.
• Monitor inventory levels of materials and tools, reordering as necessary.
• Foster a positive work environment by supporting team members.
• Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to management.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate or Diploma in Upholstery or Craftsmanship
• Experience with furniture restoration is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in upholstery or related work.

Technical Skills

• Expertise with various fabrics
• Knowledge of furniture repair techniques

Soft Skills

• Effective communication skills
• Attention to craftsmanship

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Ability to work with a variety of fabrics and materials: Experience with leather, vinyl, and different textiles is highly valued.
