Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous Digital Prepress Operator to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in preparing digital files for print, ensuring quality and accuracy throughout the production process.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, create, and validate digital files for production.
• Conduct thorough quality assurance checks on prepared files.
• Liaise with designers to refine artwork as needed.
• Support the printing team in resolving file-related issues.
• Document and maintain production standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Test new prepress technology and software.
• Schedule equipment maintenance and updates.
• Communicate effectively with external suppliers.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss ongoing projects.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Relevant diploma or degree in graphic design, prepress, or print production

Experience

• A minimum of 2-3 years' experience in digital prepress

• Adobe Creative Suite

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with large format printing: Understanding of large format print processes and technology.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript: Basic knowledge of web technologies for web-to-print solutions.
• Experience with variable data printing: Ability to handle print jobs that change data dynamically.
