Job Description

Join our dedicated manufacturing team as an Oxyacetylene Burner, where you will be responsible for operating and maintaining oxyacetylene cutters to shape and weld metal components according to specifications. The ideal candidate must demonstrate expertise in oxyacetylene equipment and possess a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

  • Operate oxyacetylene cutting equipment to cut and shape various materials according to specifications.
  • Monitor equipment performance and report any issues to the Production Supervisor promptly.
  • Ensure safety and proper maintenance of cutting equipment.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize cutting processes and improve efficiencies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all safety regulations to prevent accidents or injuries.
  • Train and mentor apprentice welders in oxyacetylene techniques.
  • Conduct inspections on finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Assist in inventory management of welding materials and supplies.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Technical certification in welding or fabrication is preferred
Experience
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience with oxyacetylene equipment in a manufacturing setting

Advantageous
