Tech Innovations Inc. is seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join our vibrant team in Durban. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining server-side logic, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the frontend. You will collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements using server-side logic, and you will work with our database team to ensure seamless data handling.

Responsibilities

• Implement server-side logic and manage data interchange between users and services.
• Collaborate with DevOps for smooth deployment and infrastructure management.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications as necessary.
• Participate in team meetings and provide insights on development workflows.
• Assess and improve application performance, identifying, and fixing bottlenecks.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for software designs and technical specifications.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or related field

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in building backend systems
