Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough risk assessments for each application received.
• Utilize underwriting software and tools to analyze data.
• Establish and maintain relationships with brokers and agents.
• Negotiate policy terms with clients and resolve disputes.
• Monitor and manage renewals and adjustments of existing policies.
• Bridge communication between claims and underwriting departments.
• Research industry trends and remain informed about market changes.
• Prepare reports on underwriting performance and risk exposure.
• Support the development of new insurance products.
• Mentor junior underwriters as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Economics, or related field
• Additional underwriting qualifications are a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the insurance industry

• Insurance Regulations Knowledge
