Job Description

As a Childcare Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children. Your responsibilities will include developing engaging activities, maintaining a safe environment, and providing emotional support to children.

Responsibilities

• Design fun and educational activities to stimulate children's learning.
• Monitor children's behavior and interactions to promote positive experiences.
• Engage with children to understand and meet their individual needs.
• Work alongside colleagues to maintain a well-organized classroom.
• Support children's health and hygiene practices.
• Facilitate effective communication with families about childcare routines.
• Implement safety protocols and emergency procedures.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Diploma in Early Childhood Education is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in childcare or education settings

Technical Skills

• Child Psychology
• Safety and Hygiene Standards

Soft Skills

• Empathy
• Teamwork

Certifications

• CPR and First Aid Certification
• Early Childhood Education Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Sesotho: Basic

Advantageous

• Knowledge of child safety regulations: Familiarity with local child safety regulations and best practices.
• Experience with special needs children: Experience providing care and support for children with special needs.
