Accountant

Job Description

As an Accountant at Professional Services, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable/receivable, and conducting audits. We are looking for an individual with a strong background in finance and a passion for helping clients succeed.

Responsibilities

• Generate monthly and annual financial reports in compliance with standards.
• Monitor cash flow and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Lead month-end closing procedures and ensure accuracy.
• Contribute to strategic planning through financial insights.
• Develop analytical models to assess financial performance.
• Assist in year-end audits providing necessary documentation.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives and operational efficiencies.
• Review contracts and agreements from a financial perspective.
• Engage in training sessions to improve team skill sets.
• Collaborate with the IT department on system improvements for accounting software.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Master's degree will be considered a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of accounting experience with a focus on financial reporting
