IT Operations Analyst

Job Description

We're on the lookout for an IT Operations Analyst to oversee our IT support services in Durban. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the capability to manage IT operations efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct IT system analyses and propose enhancements.
• Ensure that IT support is delivered in a timely manner.
• Evaluate and implement new IT solutions as needed.
• Help train users in IT best practices and new technologies.
• Monitor user access and data security compliance.
• Maintain hardware and software inventory for the IT department.
• Collaborate with different departments to understand their IT requirements.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Relevant certifications in IT or support services are an advantage

Experience

• 5 years of relevant experience in IT operations

Technical Skills

• Virtualization technologies
• Scripting languages

Soft Skills

• Critical thinking
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in project management tools: Familiarity with tools like Jira or Trello is beneficial.
• Experience in IT asset management: Understanding of managing IT assets and inventory is a plus.
