Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our dedicated team in Durban. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to animal welfare, possess excellent clinical skills, and have experience in various veterinary practices.

Responsibilities

  • Provide veterinary care for a variety of animals, including pets and livestock.
  • Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and diseases.
  • Perform surgeries, including spaying/neutering and emergency procedures.
  • Work with animal owners to implement care plans and preventative measures.
  • Assist in educating staff and clients about animal health.
  • Keep abreast of new treatments and technologies in veterinary medicine.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive clinic atmosphere.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc)
  • Additional qualifications in animal behaviour or nutrition are advantageous.
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of mixed practice experience preferred.
