Job Description

We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our growing team in Cape Town. You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to help drive business strategy and initiatives. Strong problem-solving skills and proficiency in data visualization tools are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover insights.
• Assist in the development of forecasting models.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand their data needs.
• Document processes and methodologies for data analysis.
• Participate in strategic planning meetings to influence data-driven decision-making.
• Develop metrics to measure success and impact of business activities.
• Provide training and support to team members on data tools and practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Relevant industry certifications are a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience working as a Data Analyst or in a similar role

Technical Skills

• R Programming
• Google Analytics

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience with big data tools such as Hadoop or Spark: Hands-on experience handling and analyzing large data sets using modern data technologies.
