Transportation Planner

Job Description

We are seeking a Transportation Planner to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in urban planning and transport systems, along with excellent analytical skills. Your role will involve developing transportation models, conducting traffic studies, and collaborating with various stakeholders to improve transportation infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze transportation policies and best practices.
• Assist in drafting transportation plans and policies for local government.
• Evaluate environmental and social impacts of transportation projects.
• Utilize GIS and other tools to visualize data and support decision-making.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in transportation planning or engineering

Technical Skills

• Advanced Excel
• Computer-Aided Design (CAD)

• Teamwork

Languages

• English: Fluent
