Security Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to join our Johannesburg team. You will be responsible for analyzing security incidents, monitoring networks for security breaches, and implementing security measures to safeguard our resources. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cybersecurity protocols, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies.

Responsibilities

• Implement advanced threat detection systems and incident response protocols.
• Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Create security reports and documentation for management and stakeholders.
• Participate in incident response drills and recovery planning.
• Collaborate with third-party vendors for security evaluations and improvements.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity or related field
