Air Traffic Controller

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Air Traffic Controller to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of aircraft within allocated airspace. This role is fundamental in directing air traffic and facilitating communication between pilots and ground services.

Responsibilities

• Supervise take-offs and landings to ensure optimal safety.
• Conduct regular audits of air traffic procedures.
• Collaborate with other air traffic controllers for efficient airspace management.
• Prepare and submit reports on air traffic data.
• Engage in continuous training to improve skills and stay updated on aviation regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Must be a South African citizen
• Valid air traffic control license from the South African Civil Aviation Authority
• Degree in aviation or a related field is advantageous

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years' experience as an air traffic controller.

• Training Experience: Experience in training and mentoring junior air traffic controllers.
