Civil Engineer

Job Description

We're on the lookout for a skilled Civil Engineer to assist with exciting infrastructure development projects in Durban. You will be involved in every stage, from planning and design to implementation and monitoring, ensuring high standards of engineering practice are met.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all aspects of civil engineering projects.
• Develop and implement project plans and timelines.
• Prepare detailed project estimates and progress reports.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress.
• Review and approve engineering designs and specifications.
• Ensure sustainable and environmentally friendly practices in all engineering activities.
• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in civil engineering

Technical Skills

• Structural Analysis Software
• Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

• Leadership

Certifications

• Civil Engineering Professional Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in drainage and pavement design: Hands-on experience with drainage systems and pavement engineering.
