Job Description

We are seeking a qualified General Practitioner to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will provide primary healthcare services, diagnose and treat a variety of conditions, and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of patient care. In this role, you will be crucial in promoting health awareness and preventative care within the community.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine check-ups and diagnostic tests.
  • Manage patient treatment plans and ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with patients.
  • Document all patient interactions thoroughly and accurately.
  • Coordinate with other medical professionals regarding patient referrals.
  • Maintain a clean and safe clinic environment.
  • Adhere to ethical and professional standards in practice.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities to enhance care standards.
  • Provide telehealth consultations as required.
  • Assist in clinical research initiatives when possible.

Requirements

Education
  • MBChB or equivalent medical degree
  • Postgraduate diploma in Family Medicine is preferred
Experience
  • At least 5 years in a primary care setting
