Interior Designer

Job Description

Bring your design vision to life as an Interior Designer with Design Innovators! You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and develop detailed designs that are both aesthetically appealing and functional. Your role will include drafting layouts, selecting materials, and overseeing project execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead design projects from inception to completion, with a focus on creativity and functionality.
• Conduct client consultations to understand requirements and lifestyle needs.
• Prepare and present design proposals and adjust plans based on feedback.
• Account for all aspects of the design, including aesthetics, ergonomics, and sustainability.
• Collaborate with marketing team to promote completed projects and showcase designs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture

Experience

• 4+ years of relevant experience in residential and commercial design

Technical Skills

• 3D Visualization Software
• Project Management Tools

Soft Skills

• Problem Solving
• Team Leadership

Certifications

• LEED Accreditation is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Experience with lighting design: Ability to create effective illumination designs.
• Familiarity with local building regulations: Understanding of local codes and regulations in South Africa.
