Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality lectures and interactive classes in urban planning and community development.
• Collate and design educational resources and materials including syllabi and study guides.
• Facilitate discussions that challenge students to think critically about urban issues.
• Support students' academic and professional growth through mentorship.
• Collaborate with the education team to enhance curriculum development.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to educational strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's in Urban Planning or Social Sciences
• Post-graduate degree in Urban Studies (preferred)

Experience

• 3+ years of relevant teaching experience

Technical Skills

• Statistical Software (e.g., SPSS)
• Microsoft Office Suite

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Leadership

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Local Urban Policies: Knowledge of South African urban planning regulations and policies.
• Experience with Online Education Platforms: Experience in teaching or training via online platforms.
