Construction Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Construction Manager in Pietermaritzburg to oversee and manage construction projects from start to finish. This role requires an individual with a solid background in construction, project management skills, and the ability to lead a team effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead the construction team in executing plans effectively.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors.
• Manage project budgets and resource allocations.
• Ensure quality control throughout the construction process.
• Conduct performance evaluations for construction staff.
• Coordinate site logistics and ensure efficiency.
• Develop and maintain project schedules.
• Foster a culture of safety and sustainability on-site.
• Review and approve project documentation and reports.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• Minimum 7 years in construction management with a track record of successful projects
