Controls Specialist

Job Description

The Controls Specialist will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems to ensure the safe and efficient operation of machinery and equipment in an industrial setting. This role demands expertise in control systems, teamwork, and problem-solving skills to meet the operational needs of the business.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain control systems for industrial processes.
• Perform regular inspections and maintenance on existing systems.
• Document engineering specifications and system configurations.
• Work closely with project managers to ensure tasks remain on schedule.
• Deliver training sessions to users on the operation of control systems.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies for control and automation.
• Participate in design reviews and provide input on control strategies.
• Understand and apply relevant regulations and standards.
• Provide mentoring to less experienced engineers and technicians.
• Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Master's degree in control systems or automation is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in control system design and integration.
