Structural Engineer

Job Description

Join our team as a Structural Engineer and lead the design and analysis of structural systems for diverse projects. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety and sustainability of structures while collaborating with clients and contractors to deliver optimal engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical guidance on structural engineering projects.
• Prepare project budgets and timelines, ensuring on-time delivery.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies to secure necessary permits.
• Evaluate existing structures for rehabilitation and retrofitting.
• Foster relationships with external stakeholders to enhance project collaboration.
• Document project progress and report to management regularly.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in structural design projects

• Revit
• Project Management Software

Certifications

• LEED Accreditation
• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience with project delivery methods: Knowledge of various project delivery methods and their applications.
• Understanding of BIM technologies: Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies and their application in projects.
