Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Actuary to work in our Cape Town office. In this role, you will evaluate financial data, design strategies for risk management, and contribute to our overall financial health. The ideal candidate will bring a detail-oriented approach to our dynamic team.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret statistical data to forecast future events.
• Create detailed documentation of actuarial methods and results.
• Assist in the preparation of statutory reports and regulatory submissions.
• Mentor and train junior actuarial staff as needed.
• Stay updated on industry trends and developments in actuarial science.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or related field
• Fellowship or Associate status with a recognized actuarial organization is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience as an Actuary in the insurance sector

Certifications

• Certified Actuarial Analyst (CAA)
• Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) - preferred
