DevOps Engineer

Job Description

As a DevOps Engineer in our Cape Town team, you'll drive the automation of deployments and manage our cloud environments. We're looking for a forward-thinking individual who can adapt to changing technologies and work collaboratively to foster continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Architect and optimize cloud environments for application hosting.
• Implement containerization strategies using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate on code reviews and maintain coding standards across the team.
• Leverage monitoring tools to proactively identify system vulnerabilities.
• Automate system configurations and maintain documentation for infrastructure setups.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements for new projects.
• Contribute to the development of operational policies and procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Relevant certifications in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) are advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a DevOps role or similar
