Architectural Designer

Job Description

We are looking for an Architectural Designer to contribute to innovative design solutions in our Cape Town office. Your role will include drafting designs, preparing relevant documentation, and ensuring compliance with local codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Translate client requirements into viable architectural solutions.
• Research and source materials that align with design concepts.
• Prepare cost estimates and project schedules.
• Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Foster relationships with suppliers and contractors for project needs.
• Perform quality checks on materials and finished work.
• Assist in the preparation of presentations and project proposals.
• Support the marketing team in showcasing architectural innovations.
• Adhere to safety regulations in all aspects of design and project delivery.
• Document and maintain project files and specifications.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture
• Master's degree in Sustainable Architecture is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in architectural design with a focus on residential or commercial projects

• Building Regulations knowledge
• Landscaping Principles

• Negotiation Skills
• Detail-Oriented

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Sustainable Building Advisor

Languages

• English: Fluent
• isiXhosa: Conversational
