Job Description

We are seeking skilled Sawing Machine Setters, Operators, and Tenders to join our production team. As a Door Cutter, you will be responsible for cutting and shaping doors to match client specifications. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to operate various machinery safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Measure and mark wood according to specifications.
• Safely operate various woodworking machinery including saws and drills.
• Conduct quality checks on finished doors and ensure they meet specifications.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Collaborate with team members to improve production processes.
• Assist in troubleshooting any machinery issues that may arise.
• Maintain effective communication with the quality control team.
• Participate in safety training and adhere to safety regulations.
• Assist in the training of apprentice workers.
• Keep a tidy workspace and manage waste effectively.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Relevant trade qualification or diploma in carpentry

Experience

• Minimum of 1-3 years in woodworking, with a focus on cutting and shaping doors.

Languages
